Testimonials from Family Members

  • Our family was hesitant to begin hospice care for my mother. She wasn't actively dying, but had several hospital stays in a short time that did little to help her. We were told that hospice could give her the care she needed in her home setting. We talked to a couple of companies and they were so pushy and hard sell that we almost gave up. Then we found Mid Valley Hospice. Their whole attitude was different. They were willing to give my mother the care that she needed. She had several medical conditions, one which required daily care, along with some dementia. They were compassionate and caring, responded promptly when needed, and kept us informed when anything changed. They really went beyond just keeping her comfortable -- they tried to keep her as healthy as possible. When my mother began declining and required continuous care, they didn't hesitate to give her everything that was needed. Ana, Francis, Niti and the rest of the staff were always caring and professional. I would highly recommend using Mid Valley Hospice. Lisa G

  • Mid Valley Hospice is a very professional and hands on company with the patient's comfort as their primary goal. They have been very supportive and helpful in caring for my Mom . Ana and her staff, especially, the Nurse Houry, have been heaven sent in caring for my Mom. Without their continuous care and providing for our needs we wouldn't have been able to deal with the difficult decisions. I highly recommend their services.

  • I had the opportunity to work with this company with several residence. All the reviews from families are excellent. They are caring, compassionate, understanding and professional. This company will make your family feel you have all the support in this tough time. Most important LOVED.

  • Our mother was in a Rehab Facility for a month after being hospitalized for aspirating pneumonia. When we realized that she was too frail and her dementia was too advanced for her to recover, we asked if she could be certified for hospice care. Mid Valley Hospice was recommended by Dr. Raskin, who was caring for our mother. We were able to take our mother home to her apartment where we knew she would be comfortable.
Anna, Maria and Hazel put a plan in motion to keep our mother comfortable. Hazel and Frances came to check on mom. Jamilla came to change her bandages, check her and answer our questions. Claudia came twice a week to bathe mom and change her bandages. Oxygen, Nebulizer and suction machine were delivered to the house. A wheelchair arrived. Meds were given in liquid form to keep help mom with swallowing. We had things offered that we did not even know we needed. We were instructed how to use all the equipment. Mom's caregiver was kept in the loop. From the time she came home, mom was kept peaceful and comfortable. Anything we needed to help her was available to us. Rafael, the social worker, met with us. Efraim, the chaplain, met with us and explained what my mom was experiencing. Everyone helped us deal with the reality that our mother was coming to the end of her life.
All the nursing and office staff were available 24/7. When mother declined, they helped us to let go. Nurses came 24 hours a day the last weeks. They we're amazing and made sure mom was comfortable and we were aware of what was happening. They even spoke to our sister in Israel when she called. Our mother was treated with dignity and respect. Our family was educated and gently guided through the dying process. Our mother died peacefully and pain-free.
We are so grateful to Anna and Maria for always being there for us. Hazel got us so organized and ready to be there for mom. Frances was so kind and helpful always. We were all able to let mom go with the dignity and respect she deserved.

  • I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mid Valley Hospice for the medical care, compassion, and support provided to my mother, Rose Cherry, during the weeks that led to the end of her life and, especially, the week and a half that she spent actively dying. I am in a good position to appreciate the quality of the care Mid Valley provided because I had to discharge a previous hospice service for poor service. As soon as Mid Valley took over, the care, comfort, and medical support provided o my mother greatly improved. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times. During the week and a half that my mother spent actively dying, Mid Valley sent skilled, compassionate nurses for round-the-clock care. The one nurse that was not satisfactory was quickly replaced. These nurses showed a high level of compassion, empathy, and medical knowledge. The eased the process of dying for my mother and mitigated her pain and agitation. They also educated me on the dying process, reducing my distress. I would like to thank Mid Valley Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. Rose Cherry's Daughter

  • We have found Mid Valley Hospice to be responsive to our family's needs. Since they've been working with my father, he has had a better quality of life, and for that, we are very grateful! Hope these comments are helpful! I am very happy that my dad is getting physical therapy now, and requests that he have access to that as frequently as possible, as he is beginning to walk again, His walking not only improves his comfort and quality of life but also makes it easier for the staff as well, as his transfers are much easier when he is standing and walking while supporting his own weight. Also, thank you in advance for letting me know of any medication/protocol changes before they are implemented. That will be very helpful. Please feel free to text or email me anytime. It was great talking with you, have a wonderful weekend. Melinda

  • Pat and I were most appreciative of care your company provided to my mother in her final month. Wanda was particularly wonderful and caring as were the other nurses you secured for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Midvalleyhospice to any of our other friends in similar situations. Dr. Robert I White Jr.

  • My aunt died recently at the age of nearly 101 and was under the care of Mid Valley Hospice during the last 6 months of her life. The hospice service was the answer to issues of how to manage her health care when she could not longer travel to doctors appointments and how to avoid hospital stays. They came on a weekly basis and were efficient and caring. They quickly ordered medicine when needed and stayed on top of health problems preventing them from getting worse. Communication with Ana Safarian was responsive and questions were answered promptly. I would recommend establishing early on how much feedback you expect.
We will always be grateful for the care she received in her last weeks. There was no hesitation in putting her on continuous care when she could no longer swallow. Nurses came around the clock and they were all compassionate, understanding, and professional. They helped distraught family members and were informative about the process my aunt was going through as well. The supervising nurse, Hazel, kept me informed on a twice daily basis for a week before I could arrive from out of town. Mid Valley was responsible and professional and helped my aunt and our family through a difficult time.
